There has been so many times where you've heard children say there is nothing to do in Rockford. Well that can change if you support ARTS IN THE PARKS in the summer of 2011. This is a major program since 1977. This will introduce young people to a variety of visual and performing arts activities. Activites may include; maybe guitar lessons, Outter Space Camps, Dance Camps, Theatre Camps, Pottery, and basket weaving. You could support and promote this, as they take care of the day to day activities throughout the summer at Shane's Park. We need your help to bring this oppurtunity to Rockford youth next summer. We need everyone including; grandparents, teachers, businesses, churches, and civic organizations to get involved in supporting this event. Please contact Sandy Shaffner at 419-363-3872 or Lisa Kuhn at the Village office at 419-363-3032 ext 1 if you are interested in helping in this program. We are looking forward to seeing you there and will apprectiate any help. If you want more information on this program please go to www.artsland.org.
